The Iyengar Yoga Association UK (IYA (UK)) is responsible for assessing and awarding teaching certificates and continued monitoring of all teachers to ensure high standards are maintained.

"I first went to a yoga class in 1978 and was immediately hooked. After 20 years of personal practice and development, and encouraged by my own teacher, I wanted to help others understand how yoga could improve their health and wellbeing. I am trained to teach at Intermediate Junior Level 2 and am studying Level 3."

I soon learnt Yoga is about a lot more than the physical and it has enhanced every aspect of my life. I have been studying the junior intermediate syllabus for 7 years.

"I started practising yoga with Cathy Rogers-Evans in 1992, originally to help with my weak back. My back and my interest grew stronger, and I was inspired to start teacher training in 1998. Yoga has enriched all aspects of my life.I am qualified to teach at Intermediate Junior Level 2 and am currently studying Level 3"

"I started to look for yoga classes to help with a back injury, from playing badminton. Yoga was always in my blood. I tried one or two different types of yoga, but I knew what I wanted. Then I found Iyengar yoga and thoroughly enjoyed the class with Cathy Rogers-Evans. Since then I have never looked back. After a few years I trained as a teacher. My training is ongoing and I am still enjoying it."
